SPLITS CLASSES-FLOOR BASED
In this 90-minute front split focused workshop you can expect to cover a mixture of self-myofascial release techniques, partner & solo PNF stretches, active flexibility drills, and static stretching
No matter how near or far you are from touch down, the majority of the workshop will be spent working towards achieving and squaring off our front split; however open splits will also be included, as will some “fake it till you make it” tips! Time will be allotted for those all-important progress pictures.
Whilst the pole may be used as a ‘prop’ at times, this workshop is based on the floor, so is open to anyone, not just aerialists. What to wear: Leggings. Thick socks/legwarmers What to bring: Water! (Desirable but not essential: Knee pads. Yoga blocks. Foam roller/lacrosse ball/peanut.)
These classes are open to everyone, no matter what your fitness background is. They are focused towards all aerialists, but as the classes are based on the yoga mat and do not involve any aerial equipment such as the pole, silk or hoop, anyone is able to attend. You do not have to be ‘flexible’ or ‘strong’ to attend, these classes will have progressions and regressions to suit your body and mind.
Each class is 60mins long and it takes place at our Aylesbury studio. In each class, you will be working on a full body conditioning and flexibility workout. The class is mainly focused on dynamic and active movement, standing and inverted balance holds, leading to some static stretches, depending on what focus the class has that week. eg: Front Splits, Hip openers, Box Splits, Shoulder Mobility, Back Bends, Rotations.
In any aerial dance/fitness we require a high level of strength, balance, agility, mind focus and flexibility to carry out the demanding moves that are involved.

Then this is for you!
Whether your discipline is Pole, Silks, hoop or Sling these classes will help in all disciplines. All levels are welcome!
Classes will involve some equipment use, pole, Silks and sling and some floor based conditioning.
These classes are here to help you strengthen, condition and practice technique.
